The Tabor Boy Project

I think this was on the 1979 Bermuda trip. The patient came on board with stitches from a knee operation. The stitches had to come out a few days after we were out at sea.

I've always liked this photo as sort of a "Norman Rockwell moment" of what a great man Cap was.

That's me.  I had fallen into an open hatch and gouged a hole in my leg through which you could see the bone.  The clinic in Bermuda didn't put stitches in, just a butterfly bandage to supposedly hold it together.  Cap was probably just checking on how it was healing.
