I remember Cap talking about having the old steering box in his garage. I used to think that the windshield was such an eye sore too till I got used to the shelter it provided on those cold late fall sails. You've probably noticed that the windshield has been removed.

Great photos and info Jamie. Often wondered if the helm configuration on The Tabor Boy was original, I knew the raised "bridge " deck was an add on as was the ugly but most useful windshield, sometimes wished the whole damn thing was enclosed!
