I am so happy to welcome a fellow engineer aboard the site. Though I wasn't the chief engineer aboard the TABOR BOY, I attended Maine Maritime Academy, studied engineering and eventually sailed as chief engineer aboard many vessels. I owe the TB program and the Captain at that time for launching my career that has been very rewarding in so many ways. By the way, chief engineer is the same rank as captain in the merchant marines.
I hope you and your shipmates will post pictures from your adventures aboard her over the next few years. I have so many memories underway on various ships, but most of my favorites are aboard the TB. I still keep up with many of my TB shipmates and several are like family.
