I came across a nice "letter to the editor" from past XO Andrew Major sent into Workboat Magazine (Sept 2008) regarding his experience at Tabor and on the schooner. Thought you would all like to see it! see attached PDF.
Alex,
Sorry of the delay! Thanks giving break was great and starting two days from now Christmas break begins!
Anyways, we are working in the Schooner shop at the moment trying to get all of the spars sorted out--if you have time, you should stop by--old memories right?

Hey Alex,
My apologies for this, but I must say that I just (finally) realized who you are. At Capt. Bill's Thanksgiving dinner I kept on looking over and saying to my self: "geeze, this guy looks familiar." I've heard so much about you from Chris Henry and Cap and now putting a face to the name I feel like a complete idiot! They should put me on the slow kids schooner!
Tell sea stories, post pictures and invite shipmates! Through this collaborative project we can create the most comprehensive record of a ship and program that changed thousands of young lives over the past 50 years.
I look forward to your active participation in The Tabor Boy Project. Thanks for joining the Crew.
