John,

That's right, that was a great summer on Nantucket! I forgot about that. It's great catching up with you after all these years. Better yet, it's great to see that you are still an astronomer.

I've kept in very close contact with Bob Glover (Bob G. Lover) and Peter Mello (who created this site) over the years and hear from several others from time to time. It seems like Dave Robins fell off the map but I would love to catch up with him.

I'm living in Virginia now about an hour west of D.C. and working for NOAA. I sailed aboard several of their research ships for about 8 years and then went shore side. I've been in new ship construction but still sail from time to time. I've also thought of buying a used sailboat to get back into the blue water sailing again.

It's great catching up with you and I hope all is well.

Very best,

Jamie

John,

Welcome aboard! I think that you will find several of the guys that you sailed with on this site. I sailed the Bermuda trip in '76 and I shamefully admit that I was sea sick for the whole trip down, but still still remember the trip fondly.

Again welcome,

Jamie
